A crane polyurethane buffer is a safety device that utilizes the properties of polyurethane elastomer, a polymer material, to absorb and dissipate the kinetic energy of moving objects through its own deformation. It is typically installed at the ends of the crane rails, in the trolley collision zone, or other areas where collisions may occur. Its main purpose is to absorb collision energy, mitigate impact, protect the crane and rail structure, and reduce noise.

The widespread use of polyurethane buffers is due to their multiple advantages:

1. High energy absorption rate: Polyurethane buffers can absorb more impact energy per unit volume, resulting in high buffering efficiency.

2. High load-bearing capacity: Crane polyurethane buffers can withstand high impact loads and are suitable for heavy-duty cranes.

3. Wear and aging resistance: Polyurethane materials have excellent wear resistance, oil resistance, and ozone aging resistance, resulting in a long service life.

4. Lightweight and easy to install: Compared to metal buffers, they are significantly lighter, facilitating handling and installation.

5. Smooth buffering and low noise: There is no sharp noise from metal-on-metal collisions during impact, ensuring smooth operation.

6. Wide temperature adaptability: They typically maintain good performance in environments ranging from -35°C to +80°C.

7. Maintenance-free: Under normal operating conditions, unlike hydraulic shock absorbers, they require no hydraulic oil and are essentially maintenance-free.

8. High cost-effectiveness: Considering the overall procurement, installation, and maintenance costs, they offer excellent value for money.
