The plum blossom coupling (also known as the elastic plum blossom coupling) is a commonly used elastic coupling, mainly composed of two metal sleeves and an elastic plum blossom pad in the middle. Its structure is simple and compact, and it uses the deformation of the plum blossom-shaped elastomer to compensate for axial, radial and angular deviations, while absorbing vibration and impact. It is suitable for the transmission system of small and medium-sized cranes.

The plum blossom coupling is often used in crane walking mechanisms, motor and reducer connections, and other scenarios. When selecting, it is necessary to match the torque, speed and shaft diameter, and consider the working environment (such as temperature and corrosiveness). Daily maintenance requires regular inspection of the wear of the plum blossom pad and timely replacement of aging or damaged elastomers to ensure the stability and safety of the transmission system.

The plum blossom coupling (also known as the plum blossom-shaped elastic coupling) is a common elastic coupling. It is widely used in various mechanical transmission systems due to its simple structure and reliable performance. The following are its main performance characteristics:
Elastic buffering and vibration reduction
Absorb vibration and impact: The plum blossom-shaped elastomer (such as polyurethane, rubber, etc.) in the middle absorbs vibration, impact and radial deviation in the transmission to reduce the impact load on the equipment. Reducing noise: The elastic element can effectively reduce the noise in the transmission process and is suitable for occasions with high requirements for quietness.
Compensation for deviation capability
Radial/angular deviation compensation: It can compensate for the radial deviation (≤0.5mm), angular deviation (≤1°) and a small amount of axial deviation between the two shafts, and adapt to the centering error during installation. Floating connection: It is suitable for slight displacement of the shaft system caused by thermal expansion or foundation settlement.
Simple and compact structure
No lubrication requirement: No maintenance and lubrication are required, reducing the cost of use. Small size and light weight: Suitable for installation environments with limited space.
High torque transmission efficiency
Wide torque range: can transmit small and medium torque (usually suitable for tens of Nm to thousands of Nm), and some reinforced designs can withstand higher loads. Adjustable torsional stiffness: adapt to different working conditions by selecting elastomers of different hardness (such as red/blue polyurethane).
Electrical insulation and corrosion resistance
Insulation performance: elastomers can isolate the current between the two shafts to prevent electrical corrosion. Oil and aging resistance: high-quality elastomer materials can work in an environment of -40℃~+100℃, and are resistant to oil, acid and alkali corrosion.
Easy installation
Keyless design: some models can be fixed by clamping or screwing, without keyways, simplifying the installation process. Split structure: some models support split installation, which is convenient for disassembly and maintenance.
